Sodus Bay Yacht Club to Host LYRA 2025 Regatta

SBYC will be host to the LYRA 2025 Annual Regatta. Plans for the traditional race week are underway, beginning with Centennial and Founder’s Races on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Three races are planned Rochester to Sodus Bay, Oswego to Sodus Bay, and Sodus Bay to Fair Haven and back.

Handicap racing fleet boats that want to be considered for the regatta champion trophy must compete in a Centennial or Founder’s Race, the Freeman Race, and Flying Sail Course Racing.

Wednesday night, July 30, 2025, will be the Freeman Race. There will be one course for a close to shore race of approximately 70 nautical miles.

The week will be topped off with Course Racing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, mark your calendars and line up your crew for July 29 – August 3, 2025.
