60 years later, high water concerns still the same

After the record high water levels of 2017 scuttled many water-based activities all over Lake Ontario, yacht clubs and regatta organizers, including LYRA, are hoping for better conditions in 2018. Cold comfort perhaps knowing our LYRA regatta was lost due to water levels 60 years ago, but it serves as a reminder that Mother Nature is full of awesome surprises. LYRA clubs and organizers are more mindful than ever to plan accordingly, and with Nature’s co-operation and some advanced leg work, 2018 has plenty of promise!
